Celebrating Steve Forster!
On Friday 13th December, we celebrated Steve Forster’s long career at Springfield Solutions as he steps back from his role.
Steve has been an instrumental part of Springfield throughout the years, from working alongside our founder, Albert Dass, to our recent merger into the All4Labels Global Packaging Group.
“All I can say is it has been a fantastic period of my life, I have enjoyed every minute from the start, to where I am now.
It has been like one big family; the company has grown from when I started with Albert when it was around 15 people to where we are today. So, it’s been a superb journey, we’ve had some great highs – some lows – but I always say the challenges and any problem, you have got to see a positive out of it.
We stand here today with a big positive, that we are part of a Global Operation now, the company has a great future ahead of it and you should all enjoy the future with it.
The team that I have been with has been great – Albert, we have been like Brothers and Matt – it has been a fantastic journey.
Working is not just working in positions, it is working with people and that is the biggest thing I think in businesses is that people make the business – and every one of you, makes Springfield what it is.
This year is my 50th year of working, which is another milestone, if I had known then where I am today – that would be a big tick in the box.
I pinch myself sometimes when I think where I am and what I have achieved, I never thought I’d be where I am now when I started – but none of us really do. You go with what you feel at the time, looking at the opportunities and taking the opportunities. Hopefully, I’ve done well. A big thanks to everybody.” Said Steve Forster.
“Other than my Dad, Steve has contributed more to the success of our business than anyone else and has been paramount to that success over the last 40+ years.
Steve’s commercial wisdom, creative thinking and passion has kept Springfield at the forefront of our industry during this time. Steve will step back from his position with Springfield now part of a Global operation and in a healthy position to continue to grow, innovate and keep delighting our customers for the next 50 years.
There are too many things to thank Steve for during his time at Springfield, but I would personally like to thank Steve for teaching me to a be a good human, because he’s a great one.” said Matt Dass, Managing Director.
